Call for Expressions of Interest<\/strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Canadian Council for Southeast Asian Studies (CCSEAS) is seeking candidates from Canadian post-secondary institutions for the following volunteer roles. All roles are for a two-year term (October 2021 to October 2023). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1) President<\/strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The President and their institution would also host the 2023 CCSEAS biennial conference, with support from the CCSEAS Secretariat. Aside from the conference, responsibilities will be limited but we do hope to continue to grow the organization and its activities, with the support of the Executive Committee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2) Executive Committee members<\/strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are seeking four faculty member and two graduate students. We have biennial meeting and your ideas and participation in the revitalization of CCSEAS will be key to its growth. The Executive Committee is supported by the CCSEAS Secretariat.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We welcome members from the same institution\u2014or neighbouring institutions\u2014who might jointly host the conference.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are interested, please email a statement of interest (500 words max.) and CV to ccseas@yorku.ca<\/a> by Wednesday, 13 October 2021<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A vote will take place at the General Meeting at the 2021 conference. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Appel \u00e0 manifestation d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le Conseil canadien des \u00e9tudes sur l\u2019Asie du Sud-Est (CCEASE) est \u00e0 la recherche de candidats provenant d\u2019\u00e9tablissements postsecondaires canadiens pour les r\u00f4les b\u00e9n\u00e9voles suivants. Ces r\u00f4les comprennent un mandat de deux ans (d\u2019octobre 2021 \u00e0 octobre 2023). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1) Pr\u00e9sident <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avec l\u2019appui du Secr\u00e9tariat du CCEASE, le pr\u00e9sident et son \u00e9tablissement seront charg\u00e9s d\u2019accueillir la conf\u00e9rence biennale du CCEASE en 2023. Mis \u00e0 part la conf\u00e9rence, les responsabilit\u00e9s seront limit\u00e9es, mais le comit\u00e9 ex\u00e9cutif esp\u00e8re tout de m\u00eame collaborer avec le pr\u00e9sident afin de d\u00e9velopper l\u2019organisation et ses activit\u00e9s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2) Membres du comit\u00e9 ex\u00e9cutif <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous cherchons quatre membres du corps professoral et deux \u00e9tudiants dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s pour joindre notre comit\u00e9 ex\u00e9cutif. Nous tiendrons une r\u00e9union bisannuelle dans laquelle vos id\u00e9es et votre participation \u00e0 la revitalisation du CCEASE seront essentielles \u00e0 sa croissance. Il est \u00e0 noter que le comit\u00e9 ex\u00e9cutif est soutenu par le secr\u00e9tariat du CCEASE.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous sommes heureux d\u2019accueillir les membres d\u2019une m\u00eame institution \u2014 ou d\u2019institutions voisines \u2014 qui pourraient conjointement tenir la conf\u00e9rence.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
